Stanford Hospital Guest Thank You Letter

At the Creekside Inn we highly value our Stanford Hospital guests while on the road to recovery! A little off the beaten path, our hotel is the perfect retreat of comfort and tranquility with grounds surrounded by gardens, pathways along the natural creek and sitting areas that all inspire wellness.  With attention to every detail, our staff strives to provide extraordinary care of our Stanford Hospital guests and we greatly appreciate any guest feedback on their stay. Below is a letter from one of our recent guests:

To: Louis Carreno, General Manager of Creekside Inn

Dear Mr. Carreno,

From Sunday, April 21st until Wednesday, May 1st I was a resident of room 412.  My surgeon had recommended Creekside Inn as a comfortable place to stay during my recovery. I am writing to praise the housekeeping staff. Each worked so hard and kept my room and the fourth floor immaculate.

 Yet, my purpose is to praise each of their pleasant, helpful, professional, and comforting attitudes. After an eight hour surgery, my first 3 to 4 days were not pleasant. Surgery was to correct a deficit on my head and face so I was quite bruised, swollen, and had diminished vision. Each of the housekeepers treated me with respect and kindness.

I would especially like to give thanks to the housekeeper Maria who topped the list with her kind eyes, smile, and professional attitude. Maria lifted my spirits with her gentleness and help. You could not ask for a more perfect employee.

 The housekeeper/grounds supervisor was also respectful and efficient. On two occasions she was prompt, yet pleasant with her assistance.

 I am a retired Registered Nurse who worked in Acute Care with children, then adults who had cancer. Many of these people, as well as other patients, need reconstructive surgery after their disease is hopefully healed. At times they are faced with individuals who snicker and laugh upon seeing them pre-op or post-op because of their disfigurement. The housekeeping staff not once reacted this way toward me.

 My second post-op day my physician needed to make a house call to room 412 because of an unexpected problem with my vision. My doctor was pleased at the cleanliness of my room, the beautiful view of trees and sky from the balcony, and what the room offered. I told my surgeon that the biggest treasure of Creekside Inn was the housekeeping staff. We talked about how the kind and helpful attitudes of the housekeepers would help in post-op recovery.

 I will be returning on a regular basis over the next year. And, yes, I plan on staying at the Creekside Inn. Also, I will be recommending Creekside Inn to a friend who is scheduling a June surgery with a different physician. Thank you for managing a facility where patient’s can have the positive experience I encountered.
