13th Annual Race Against Pulmonary Hypertension

13th Annual Race Against PH 5K Fun Run/Walk

Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 9 a.m.

It doesn’t matter whether you could run a mile in less than ten minutes, or you want to walk the 5K on a beautiful autumn morning in northern California. All proceeds from the race will go to support the Ewing Family Fund for Pulmonary Hypertension Research at Stanford and Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease at Stanford.

Our hotel is located just minutes from Stanford, a popular destination that attracts visitors touring the campus, going to the games, conducting business, or reminiscing about college days. This is a fun community event to get an early start to your Stanford visit, plus you’ll burn some calories for guilt-free dining at the many nearby restaurants in trendy Palo Alto. The Chip Timed adult race is $35, while the Non-Chip Timed race is $30. Children ages 7 to 12 can participate in the race/walk for $15. Children ages newborn-in-stroller to 6 can come along for the run/walk at the Non-Chip Timed rate also of $15. With options for everyone, this can easily become an activity that’s fun for the whole family.

You can opt for late registration, available 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 at Fleet Feet Sports in Menlo Park (cash or check only). Race Day Registration will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Better yet, to plan your visit now, you can register online at raceagainstph.org. This is your opportunity to take a stand –or, in this case, a 3.1 mile trot – to fight a debilitating disease affecting the hearts and lungs of many children and adults. The race will begin right at 9 a.m., rain or shine, winding through Stanford’s scenic campus.
