Ride CalTrain at Palo Alto Stations CalTrain Located just one mile away from the Creekside Inn, the California Avenue CalTrain Station offers easy access to attractions, businesses and other destinations in San Francisco, San Jose and other Bay Area cities. Established as the San Francisco & San Jose Railroad Company in 1863, Caltrain provides comfortable and convenient commuter rail service on weekdays and weekends, from San Francisco through the South Bay to its termination in Gilroy. Visitors can avoid traffic and parking hassles and relax for a comfortable ride at reasonable fares. One-way tickets and Day passes can be purchased CalTrain stations. Single, one-way ride tickets range from $3-$13, depending on number of travel zones. Unlimited day passes range from $6-$26 depending on number of travel zones. Seniors aged 65 or older and children aged 17 and under ride for half fare. Children age 4 and under ride free. CalTrain ticket vending machines accept coins, bills and Visa or Mastercard credit/debit cards. If you need a life to or from the Station from Creekside Inn, please speak to our front desk about our complimentary shuttle.
