Fall is the Perfect Season to Play Outside in Silicon Valley

Whether you're in the South Bay for work or play, there's no better time to take advantage of all the great outdoor activities in the Silicon Valley. Why not start with some fresh autumn air just a few minutes away on the Los Gatos Creek Trail? The trailhead for this jogger heaven is in Willow Glen and the trail itself passes by Vasona Lake. Populated, but not crowded, the trail is home to joggers, walkers, cyclists and canopies of brilliant fall colors. You might even encounter some native flora and fauna like deer and skunk!

Take your nature game up a notch and hike the hills of Calero County Park with its off-road trails, amazing views and frequent wildlife sightings that include deer and also the occasional bobcat.

Even if you're not in the mood to burn calories in the great outdoors, how about heading to San Jose to consume a few? Get to Scott's Seafood San Jose and their Rooftop Lounge where you can load up on fresh prawns, pasta and more while sipping wine and seeing the surrounding hills from way up on the 6th floor. Relax to live music, a late night dining menu and a crackling, inviting 18-foot fireplace. The Rooftop Lounge is open every Thursday through Saturday, now through October 31st, from 6 pm to midnight. Want to know what local musicians are on tap? Here are a few on October's calendar:

Andreo & Alfonso

Jackie Turner & Friends

Eric Bolvin

Mike Renwick

Sandor

After drinks at Scott's, come back here for last call or a nightcap to be enjoyed on your own private balcony, patio or a walk through our foliage-filled grounds!
