The new show, “Legends,” their 144th edition, goes beyond the usual acrobatics and animals. For the first time ever, Ringling Bros. will feature a special Ringmaster Zone for a very limited number of families. Along with the best seats in the house, you’ll be invited to join an hour before show time to meet legendary performers, enter the Globe of Steel to see and feel what it’s like to be a real-life daredevil, and come face-to-face with the circus’ famous enormous Asian elephants. With commemorative family photographs and autographs from the stars, you’ll come away with family memories that will last a lifetime. It’s the next best thing to actually joining the circus.
Even if you don't join the Ringmaster Zone, excitement abounds. All ticketholders have access to the animal open house, where you can get up close and personal to members of the circus animal family, all while learning about how Ringling Bros. is involved in animal conservation via informational kiosks, an audio tour, or by asking questions directly from one of their animal care experts on hand.
A few animals you maybe weren’t expecting to see will be a part of the show, as the circus’ performers work their magic to conjure up mythical creatures like a unicorn, a Pegasus and even a woolly mammoth.
"Legends" runs August 20-25, 2014 at the SAP Center in San Jose, just a short drive or train ride from Palo Alto and the Creekside Inn. Tickets are available now.
