Celebrate Independence Day at the Palo Alto Summer Festival & Chili Cook-off. The festival embraces everything awesome about summer – live music, sunshine, and food. Sample red-hit chili dishes prepared by 20 teams of chefs battling for the chili championship. The July 4th event also features live music by the band the Hitmen, line dancing, DJ Joe Sheldon, and fun kid’s activities including balloon artists and face painting.
One of the most popular Fourth of July events in San Francisco’s South Bay Area is the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, just a few miles from the Creekside Inn. This incredible outdoor amphitheater presents a spectacular concert by the San Francisco Symphony and a colorful fireworks display that illuminates the night sky. Sit back on the lawn, hear incredible orchestra music and enjoy the thrilling pyrotechnics show.
For a laid-back July 4th and slice of Americana, drive to the beautiful beach town of Half Moon Bay for the Ol' Fashioned 4th of July Parade down Main Street. The festive parade starts at noon followed by live music at the Miramar Beach Restaurant.
