If you are planning to attend Stanford’s graduation from out of town, be sure to reserve your stay at our Palo Alto hotel well in advance, as rooms are sure to book up quickly with our prime location less than two miles from the university. Then you’ll have easy, stress-free access to all this event has to offer, including the multi-faith celebratory Baccalaureate, a student-led gathering that welcomes family and friends on Saturday, June 14 in the Main Quadrangle. The Baccalaureate Keynote Speaker is Zen Buddhist prise Norman Fischer, a former abbot of the San Francisco Zen Center.
Commencement events will continue throughout the weekend, culminating with the formal Commencement exercise on Sunday and the department diploma ceremonies. Held at various locations across the campus, your graduate will be individually called to the stage by deans and departmental chairpersons devoted to the specific field of study. Congratulations to Stanford’s graduating Class of 2014, and all the proud family members who made this milestone achievement possible.
