Stanford Dish Hike - Scenic Trail for Walking & Jogging
Moments from our hotel is the popular Stanford Dish hike, a scenic outdoor trail beloved by students, families and joggers. The Stanford Dish is a unique area that is home to a large radio telescope, which is still in use by the university's research programs. The Dish is also the target of an environmental restoration program, featuring the use of native grasses and other plants. It's the home of the California tiger salamander, and many people use the Stanford Dish trail every day. The four-mile loop takes an hour or less to complete, and features steep, paved trails. Savor the gorgeous views of Stanford University and the San Francisco Bay while you walk, jog or run. Please note that bicycles are not allowed on the Stanford Dish trail, which is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the week.

After you hike the Stanford Dish trail, return back to your comfortable accommodations at our friendly hotel. Located just half a mile from the trailhead, our stylish hotel features charming boutique rooms and suites. Escape to a peaceful haven and enjoy a heated outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and free shuttle to Stanford University and Palo Alto destinations.
